Thanks to Bob from Madagasca for the salty sandy bark surprise recipe. Please can I ask people NOT to Email me unless you have something constructive to say.
It was a really clear day today, so I tried to find the highest point on the island , even from there there is no sign of land in any direction.
Sean Huxter emailed me and pointed out that the backpack graphic I use is pinched from a game he worked on, check out the site of the world's greatest backpack image designer here.

I know how to cook and eat just about any creature on the planet, I can make a three course meal from a tarantula, three grubs and some bamboo, I can whip the blood of an antelope into a desert not unlike Angel Delight, and I am stranded on an island with no indiginous life. It's very frustrating.
I haven't caught a fish for over a week, if anyone knows how to make a meal from sand, salt water and bark, please Email me.

I think Elvis has left the island. I heard a helicopter in the night, and when I awoke this morning the trees had moved.
I feel like someone is playing with my mind. I keep seeing things that can't be there and often wake up with tears streaming down my face. I hear screaming and run around the island trying to find out who is screaming, then after a few hours I realise it is me

The toe stopped bleeding.
I think I'll be OK. I know the island layout very well now, I've walked round it eighteen times, across it seventeen times and I've dug a hole in it three times. It's not very big, it's mostly sand and I seem to be the only thing living on it. Unless you count Elvis, but I am beginnging to suspect that was a hallucination.

The solar cell seems to be working better with my equipment now, I picked up some Emails today.
Big thanks to Gregory from Scotland, I am stranded on an island, I may never again see another human face to face and Gregory E-Mails me a picture of his grandmother knitting. Why Gregory? Why?
Also, I have to mention Sonya from Utah, you seemed very worried about me and I just want to assure you that I am a highly skilled traveller and survivalist and can maintain a positive attitude and good physical health for long periods in the harshest of conditions.

No sign of Elvis today, I changed the message on the beach to read "BACKPACKER STRANDED ON ISLAND PLEASE HELP" , but I ran out of stones, so I went inland and spent the day collecting more stones, and then I got as far as "BACKPACKER STRANDED ON ISLAND PLE" and I ran out of beach.
